Well-Being by Climespace
The LVMH building has been connected to Climespace’s network since April 2001. The total power requirements for the building, which is managed by Comadim (a subsidiary of BNP Paribas), is 1,2 MW. J.M. Truffal, Director of General Services for LVMH and an end-user of our solution, claims to be very satisfied with it. “A sub-station takes up very little space and does not need cooling towers which eliminates the risk of spreading bacteria. It also requires minimal maintenance compared to a stand-alone unit”, he says.
LV, the whole story
Part of the ground floor at 22 avenue Montaigne is occupied by a Louis Vuitton store. The story of this prestigious luggage maker began in 1854 with design of a flat trunk covered with a gray cloth. The trunk’s success among a wealthy clientele was such that in 1960, in order to meet an ever increasing demand, the workshop was moved to a larger location in Asnières-sur-Seine. In 1986, the famous fabric with the LV print - which some say was originally designed to prevent counterfeiting – was introduced. It has been a international success ever since.
In 1901, Louis Vuitton invented the Steamerbag, the "supple" bag. In 1914, the company opened the world’s largest store entirely dedicated to travel accessories on the Champs-Elysées. In 1921, it created the first “bolster” bag which soon became the brand’s symbol. In 1978, Louis Vuitton opened in Japan. Today, the brand is famous across the world.
